I don’t have to solve everyone’s problems

I need to keep reminding myself of this mantra, over and over, no matter how long it takes to actually sink in:

Any crisis, be it at my husband’s work, my work, my mom, my in-laws, whatever, where I technically could help out does not mean that I automatically should, ESPECIALLY if it impinges on my needs and desires.

Any crisis where I technically could help out does not mean that I automatically should, ESPECIALLY if it impinges on my needs and desires.

Any crisis where I technically could help out does not mean that I automatically should, ESPECIALLY if it impinges on my needs and desires.

Any crisis where I technically could help out does not mean that I automatically should, ESPECIALLY if it impinges on my needs and desires.

Any crisis where I technically could help out does not mean that I automatically should, ESPECIALLY if it impinges on my needs and desires…

[Repeat ad nauseum]
